Oneota River Cycles

My whole retail philosophy is based on service and technical expertise. In a throw away society, I beieve in selling bikes and accessories that can be fixed. It sounds so simple, but many bicycles are made by the lowest bidder with off brand equipment.

I enjoy working with my customer in creating the bicycle that fits their personal needs, not a bike company’s product manager. Talk to me. I will switch out tires to fit your riding situation. I will give you 30 days to make up your mind on handlebars and stems.

That’s why I sell Marin Marin is a California based company that is still run by folks that ride bikes. They have a full line of bicycles for serious off road, commuting, road riding, or just cruising around.

Since the mid 80’s Salsa Cycles have been innovators in the cycling industry. Today they make an affordable line of bicycles and framesets for road, off road or cyclo-cross, in steel, carbon and Scandium. I can special order from these guys and have it in my store in a day or 2.

For those of you looking for a solid working mans bike, I am a friend of Surly bikes The Surly boys aren’t very fancy, and they have established a industry wide reputation for thinking outside the box. Whether you are looking for a single speed, cycloross, 29” or expedition bike, these guys have it all. Models not in stock are generally available in 2 business days.

If 29” is your thing, come in and try a Niner. Niners are recognized as a leader in the big wheel revolution. Stop in and find out why.

When you bring your bike in for service it won’t be worked on by a part time high school or college kid. I perform all service work, and I have been doing it for almost 30 years. I have a very well equipped service area including complete frame preparation tools, and environmentally friendly Crest ultra sonic parts cleaners. I build hundreds of wheels a year for riders all over the country, and I build using a Phil Wood spoke cutter, DT spokes nipples and digital tensionometerand Park Tools fabulous TS-3 truing stand.

You will notice I don’t sell products on this site. I recommend that you do business, if at all possible, with your local shop. Local shops are the backbone of our industry.
